Why does my BPD trigger my cyclothymia?
Does anybody have any scientific explanation for a link between Borderline and Bipolar?
Or is it something peculiar to me and the combination of my variants of these two conditions?

I don’t know about the science, but it’s not just you. My depressed phases seem to be triggered by my BPD issues as well. If that’s what you meant.

Hello, thank you for your comment. Okay it’s some relief not to be the only one, though maybe not so much for you!
The BPD does influence deep depressions during which I still get wild mood swings which is kinda an odd feeling. In particular last night I was noting how a strong BPD episode will trigger insomnia (which then makes everything else more unstable)
Seeing as it’s not just me there must be something behind it. Now I definitely want the science behind it!
